How many ways do I need?
Count the circuits, not the rooms. A typical 2 BHK runs separate circuits for lighting, general sockets, kitchen, geyser and air conditioning, plus the incomer and the RCCB, which land at six to eight ways. Then add two spare. Ways cost very little at purchase and a great deal to add later, because a full board has to be replaced outright.
Does it come with MCBs fitted?
No. The board is the enclosure and busbar. MCBs and the RCCB are chosen per circuit by their rating and curve, so they are bought separately. Send us your circuit list and we will tell you exactly what goes in each way, with the ratings.
Single door or double door?
Double door adds an outer cover over the MCBs. It is worth it where children can reach the board, where the board is in a public part of the house, or in dusty locations. Single door is cheaper and fine inside a utility area or a cupboard.
Can I fit it myself?
No. The board connects to the incoming supply and has to be earthed correctly, and mistakes here are the ones that kill people. It is licensed electrician work. We can arrange fitting in Lucknow, quoted before anyone starts.
What is the difference between an MCB and an RCCB?
An MCB protects the wiring from overload and short circuit. An RCCB protects a person from electric shock by detecting current leaking to earth, which an MCB cannot see. They do different jobs and a properly built board has both. If your existing board has only MCBs, it is protecting the house but not the people in it.
Single phase or three phase?
Most flats and homes run single phase. Three phase is used where the sanctioned load is high, typically with heavy air conditioning, a lift, a workshop or a large pump. Your existing meter tells you which you have, so photograph it and we will confirm.
Can I get a GST invoice?
Yes. Every order comes with a GST invoice. Add your GSTIN in the cart and the invoice is issued in your business name.
